I’ll never look at the sun again the same way I look at it now. Never look at the east again the same way I look now. I look elsewhere, towards that setting sun. I thought, somehow, if I just manage to get out of the cycle, I can beat them at their game. But how can you win a game when you play by the rules of those who want you to lose? How can you win a game where breaking rules is just a roundabout way of following them?
We are the sum of our psyche, programmed from birth and manipulated throughout life. You cannot escape as long as you act according to how you were programmed to act.
Can a robot disobey its core programming?
We give the damn thing free choice, and then program him with a set of traits and personalities, put him in a controlled environment and present him choices where we have mathematically predicted with utmost certainty what he will choose. We lead him through this merry-go-ride and near the end of his pathetic life, show him how he’s been led all the fucking time.
Except, this fucking machine won’t get mad. He’ll just say "thank you. when do i get to be a god?"
And of course we’ll answer him, "right after we reboot you."
Yes. A fucking winning answer if ever i heard one.
So, who wants to get rebooted?

sometimes, in life, it’s the little things that matter. like rain, we tend to miss the magic of raindrops if we pull up and open our umbrella. don’t exchange the raindrops for a lousy dry spell.

My big question is not who God is. It is why were we created, what was our purpose for being created. Was it to just populate Earth, or was it our dictator cultivating us to repopulate another planet, or was it a bet he/she had with another G.O.D (Great Omnipotent Dictator) of another world to see who could create a better being from their own flesh, and the bet was over 1 credit. - Darqueness
